Copy My Data Review
Copy My Data is a data transfer Android tool that allows you to copy personal data from one Android device to another. The data may be in the form of Contacts, Calendar, Photos, and Videos. The Android app is efficient if you run Android 4.0 and above but will still work with devices as low as Android 2.3.3.
Copy My Data has a fairly simplified interface that links the two devices for which data transfer takes place. The interface is limited to the basic functions of the app that include connecting to a Wi-Fi, selecting the paired gadget, selecting the data, and initializing the transfer process. The app's background is a dull grey color with a Copy My Data logo centralized and buttons below it, which is not so customer friendly. Some might say it lets you focus on the task at hand, but it looks boring and lacks that finesse we expect from a leading Google Android app.
The app features a Wi-Fi transfer function that makes file transfer lighting fast. I particularly love how the user-interface is so simple that anyone will work it out with no problem. However, the application does not allow user customization, which limits the user. The one downer I find with the app is that selection of media content can only be done collectively.
Individual selection of pictures and videos is not supported. Hopefully, they will fix this with their next update. With the latest version of the APK, the developers fixed a major bug (devices running version 7.0 of Android mobile could not transfer the contents of their contacts list), hence making the app a better tool to all. Copy My Data requires Android version 2.3.3 and above for it to run. Simply put, the Android app allows for an easy file transfer, provided that two devices running the app are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
If Copy My Data seems slow to transfer files, it is possible that your Wi-Fi connection is to blame. The best way to have this app run with no technical hiccups is to ensure that both phones are not more than two meters apart. The best part about using Copy My Data is that it requires zero customization from the users. It is plug and play. You will only be required to select the data, and the application does the rest for you with top-class efficiency.
For such a basic app for all Android devices, having a price tag would be absurd. You can download for free this Google Play app for Android. However, Copy My Data APK download does have ads which are for generating revenue for the Media Mushroom Company.
Preferring Copy My Data over other data transfer apps like ‘Wi-Fi File Transfer’ or ‘NetX’ feels like taking a long holiday only to come home and find the curtains have been changed.
There is not much of a difference except in the appearance of things and a little bit in functionality. However, most users say it fixes the issue with old phones that have trouble transferring data using other applications. Even if you have an old phone with a clunky calendar that lacks basic sharing features, Copy My Data can easily buffer your calendar files for sharing with a different device.
